Whenever I’m asked for a recommendation for a voice teacher, Betsy Bishop is always one of the first teachers I think of. She’s intuitive about voices and has a plethora of experience from teaching high school age singers through to those having major careers - and everyone in between. Betsy somehow knows what each singer needs, and offers technique based on her 30-plus year career, as well as her broad base of teaching skills. She is direct, funny, smart, and kind. I am a proud former student of the incomparable Betsy Bishop. I studied with Betsy for 4 years when finishing my undergraduate and graduate degrees at Juilliard and wouldn’t change it for the world.
